Description

Oak trees (Quercus spp.) are deciduous or evergreen trees that are native to the Northern Hemisphere. They are widely cultivated for their beauty, strength, and longevity, and are also an important source of food for wildlife. There are over 600 species of oak, but some of the most common include:

White oak (Quercus alba)
Red oak (Quercus rubra) – Buy a Red oak here
Live oak (Quercus virginiana)
English oak (Quercus robur)

Oak trees grow to varying heights depending on the species, from small shrubs to large trees that can reach over 100 feet tall. They have a broad, spreading crown and large, deeply lobed leaves that can range in colour from green to blue-grey. Oak trees produce acorns, which are an important source of food for wildlife, and their wood is highly valued for its strength and durability. Oak trees prefer well-drained soils and full sun, but some species can tolerate wetter soils or partial shade. They are generally hardy and resistant to pests and diseases, but some species can be susceptible to problems such as oak wilt, root rot, and gypsy moth.

The oak is a true symbol of strength when it comes to trees. If you buy an oak tree it will planted and named to whoever you dedicate it to. After your purchase we will send you the precise location of your tree and a certificate for you via email.
