How much does the hotel programme cost?

Our illustrative model uses a 75p contribution to Gift a Tree for each qualifying avoided interim room clean, funding one tree. For example, if avoiding that clean saves your hotel approximately £5, around £4.25 of the saving remains with your hotel. We'll provide an illustrative estimate using your hotel's own room numbers, occupancy and housekeeping arrangements.

No. Guest participation is entirely voluntary. Guests can choose to skip an unnecessary interim room clean or reduce unnecessary towel and linen changes during their stay. Those who prefer their usual housekeeping service can continue to receive it.

Trees funded through the programme are planted through Gift a Tree's tree-planting projects in Tanzania, including the Usambara Mountains. We provide updates, photographs and information that hotels can use to show guests the environmental impact they are helping to create.
